I received a Lexmark 4300 printer/scanner/copier for Christmas. It uses the #33 Color Ink Cartridge. I just printed some pictures with a new cartridge, and already ink is low. I noticed at te store that the #35 ink cartridge says that it lasts twice as long as #33.

Does anyone have this printer or a similar one? Is #35 really that much better than #33? The price is about 50 % more than the #33.

I hate to say this but you are probably better off just getting another printer. Lexamark is one of the worst printers on the market for the cost of ink. They sell their printers cheap and then gouge you on ink. I have a Canon and the ink is cheap and lasts a very long time. Epson is the next best. HP would be the third because their ink is costly, but still cheaper than Lexmark.
