Yankee Candles?

Yep, I must be living in a hole because I just found out how wonderful these are! So I had to come here to ask...

Where do you buy yours and is there others that are just as good or better? I saw them at a local Cracker Barrel, but I won't pay $22.99 for a candle.

Yankee candles, I usually get them online at their website when they have sales and coupons...I'm a bit of a candle freak and sadly ashamed to admit that I have probably over 40~22oz jars...scattered everywhere around the house...I also like votivo candles, Bond #9 candles and Slatkin (the elton john ones are amazing!!)

Another Yankee junkie here, too! I buy mine either online when they are having a good sale or at the Px. My favorites are Storm Watch, Tea & Honey, Harvest, and on and on and on.

I love Yankee Candles, too. I wait till they're on sale. I saw at our local Yankee Candle shop that it's buy one/get one for half price.

If you get on their mailing list, they'll send you coupons and they're really good ones!! I love it when one of my kids get me a gift card from Yankee Candle. I hold it till they have a good sale and go crazy!!

I like Party Lite, they melt into nothing, and smell really good. SIL used Yankee Candles, and they left tons of soot all over her walls.

I love Yankee but I go for the tarts. They seem to scent a room much better. I wait for a 12/$12 sale and stock up.
I love all the autumn scents, especially pumpkin pie or cinnamon.

Wow, I love all of your responses! I have heard about candles leaving soot, and didn't think of it with YC until you mentioned it alinaaugust. My son got me started on candles again. He bought me a soy candle that seemed to last forever! I wasn't sure if it was because of the soy or not. I'll check out the suggestions you have shared also. Thanks so much!

I am a Yankee candle vendor and I have never heard of any complaints of them leaving soot, this is the first one. Yankee is the #1 selling candle in the world, not a biased opinion, just a fact. $22.99 is a standard price, the military (who I service) sells them for cheaper, $19.99 everyday and a candle of the month for $15 something, every month of the year a different candle goes for sale, this month is the Sugar Cane Vanilla, next month is the Cherry Lemonade. The miltary does have a limited stock assortment though and I cannot order everything that you could get like at a Yankee candle store, but do have a good selection. The also do "one time buys" of yankee gift sets during the year for different holidays, and have limited access to accessories.

Bb& B

I buy them either on sale with a good sale or at Bed Bath & Beyond using their 20% off any item coupon they send out regularly. If its candle of the month, its 25% off plus you can still use the coupon. I like CLean cotton, McIntosh, and Pumpkin Pie.

For me there is no comparison. Yankee's scents last much longer and it's much stronger than with Partylite. I personally think Partylite is way over priced. JMO.

Another Yankee Candle lover here! My favorite scent is Sage & Citrus. I also love Lavender, which I don't think they make any longer. Seaside Holiday is another one of my favorites, it smells like Downy fabric softner to me, and I think it's just back for a limited time right now - I'm going to have to stock up. Amber Sunset was another great fragrance, but I haven't seen it for a while either.

It's funny - I used to love all of the fruit scented candles, but I can't stand them now. I also can't stand anything cinnamon scented.

Yankee candles

Yankee Candles are the best~Nice savings on line and in the store. We are 10 minutes from South Deerfield and they always have sales in the discontiued/seconds room~22oz jar candles for $15. They also have sales not available at other locations so do come to New England and visit. Also Partylite candles are made by Colonial of Cape Cod so just buy Colonial~they're the same but not as fabulous as Yankee!!!

I am a huge Yankee candle fan as well but they definitely leave soot!! I don't use them in the bathroom anymore for this very reason.

If you trim your wicks to about 1/4" before burning, you'll notice a big difference in the soot.
