I buy only cleaning solutions, scrubbies and hair accessories from Dollar tree. I always see cover girl make-up or l'oreal nail polish in the near by DT store. But many people told me not to buy cosmetics, bath products from there. I am interested in some of their creams, lotions and body washes in DT. I have bought Ivory soap and ave used it fine. Bought a deo speed stick too.

I have not seen anybody buying cosmetics/ personally. What do you think of them?

Also, is it OK to buy branded items from Last chance/clearance?

You can call/e-mail the manufacturer with the code on the package and they can tell you hold old the item is. I've bought sunscreen from Big Lots and it worked just fine and was not expired.

My understanding is that for toothpaste anyway you should check where it's made. Frequently it's made in China. Given all the recall for Chinese products these days, it would make me think twice.

I buy their name brands but do suggest you watch out for any Personal Care products made in China. There have been too many problems with substitutes to take the risk.

dt has maybelline products now but they are the ones that didn't sell other places and are written in spanish.I also got disney christmas cards there.

Be Careful becuase a lot of recaills from China Made product sold in Doller Stores. I won't let my daughter wear anything cosmetic or toiletires made in China. They have too many issues.

Yes, I recently noticed that my Wet and Wild nail polish which I bought from Longs Drugs is made in china. I hope it is okay. I have been using it without problems.

I am not confident of buying skin care items from DT.

There are a lot of fake products around. So we just got to be careful.

Awhile back they had a problem with the levels of fluroide in toothpaste. The overseas toothpaste had over the recommended levels of fluroide for the USA, a bunch of it was pulled. A guess it can be harmful to small children who swallow it accidentally.
