Walmart starting marking their Christmas 75% today. All decor and wrapping materials are 75%. Candy and gift sets are still 50%.

Here in MA the candy and gift sets were ringing up at 75% off but the wrapping paper and Christmas stuffed animals and Xmas themed clothes were still ringing up at 50% - in the past years, they have overriden to 75% off but said they were waiting for corporate to get those items in the system and did not know when that would occur . SO late this year everywhere - guess they are all getting greedy-lol.

I was at our Walmart on Sunday and they still had tons of Christmas stuff and it was STILL 75% off. They still had racks of summer clothing from LAST summer for $2, $3 and $4. They still have flipflops for $5 in the shoe section. In past years these items would have been marked down long before now. I don't know if it's a sign of the bad economy? they are trying not to lose as much money, maybe they didn't make as much during the holiday season as normal? Or are they just getting greedy?

Ours has been 75% since around January 5th or so, it just hasn't been marked down any more.
