I didn't know where was the right place to post this.. but AG just told me they will have two new stores to open mid to late this year... one in Dallas TX and another in Alpharetta GA!

I am so excited about the GA location.

It will have everything in these stores except the stage shows.. they said the store will be called a different name.. they didn't want to take the place of AG Place.

Just had to share the news!

Where did you get your information? If this is true, my 10 year old will want to go to Dallas... that could be a fun trip.

The American Girl Boutique & Bistro,
our new retail experience set to open in two premier shopping centers:
Galleria Dallas and North Point Mall in Atlanta.

American Girl Boutique and Bistro will feature a rotating selection of
our best-selling American Girl products. Customers will also have
access to the full product line via interactive internet kiosks.

The Bistro will provide a casual dining experience for girls and their
families and will also feature a fabulous dessert counter. Separate
party rooms will be available for birthdays and other special occasions.
Girls will be able to choose from a variety of American Girl-themed
parties that will include organized games and activities, special food
and cake, and party favor bags. We will also provide an on-site party
host to assist with your special day!

The American Girl Boutique & Bistro? will offer girl-friendly and
age-appropriate classes and seminars inspired by our best-selling

be doll-related; others may focus on crafts and cooking, manners,
school, and friendship. We will also feature a Doll Hair Salon where

OMGosh!!! We live in OK and I'm not sure who will be more excited about the TX store, my girls or myself!! LOL

I take it these will be smaller versions of the American Girl Place since they're called a 'Boutique'...

After seeing the OP I contacted AG and asked and that is where I got the above information.
I am torn about it since my daughter loved coming back from NY and Chicago with AG items that could not be purchased on the internet. She has the AGP Chicago coat that everyone loves and wants. It will be nice but I did like the uniqueness of it.
The boutiques will not have the stage show and they do say that items will be rotating. I doubt that they will have the historical girl large displays like they do at AGP.
I hope they have it before late September. It would be nice to havea party there before alot of others do.
