The Alavert deal isn't in either of the ads I saw, but it works. The Softsoap Spa comes in both a 12 oz and an 18 oz size for $4.99 and $5.49. I bought the 18 oz size on a different card than I used for the 12 oz, since some ExtraBucks were due to expire.
I plan to go back tomorrow after more of both.
Happy shopping!

Exclamation Soft soap question

My problem with the Soft soap Spa deal is that my CVS shelp is ALWAYS empty!!!! I've been going in everyday and all I ever get from staff is "check back when the truck comes"

And this weeks sale on Cottonelle and
Viva is driving me nuts too... Do they only order 2 of these sale items??

Who places these orders? Corporate or local management?

Can anyone help?

I called their corporate office and complained that they have advertised products that are never in stock. The person was very apologetic and sent me a $5 GC. Personally I would rather them correct the problem that giving the GC especially since those advertised products would have saved me more than $5.

Maybe if enough people complain, they will do something...hopefully

I have asked about this in the past. My store told me that ever since they took over the Osco stores, they have had problems with ordering. She told me they just don't have a handle on the amounts to order yet. The employees at my store are just as frustrated about it as we are.
What I do is get rain checks. How they work it at my store is if it free after ECB, they ring it in a zero when I can redeem them. I have had to wait over a month to redeem some of them! I really don't mind if they are out when they do it this way. (Unless I really need the item soon) One store I was at had you pay for the item and then gave you the ECB amount on a gift card. The one problem with them ringing it up at zero is that you cannot use coupons, but since it is free, no big deal. Just not a $ maker then.
The one thins I wish is that they kept track of the number of rain checks they wrote out. Then they could order the right amounts for the rain checks and maybe it would take so long to be able to redeem them.

I'm ticked my Extra bucks expired. They are good for such a short amount of time. they told me they woulnd't re-issue it for me. I wish they would change that policy and make them good for at least 90 days.

One more thing about rain checkt at CVS. They never expire and you can redeem them at any CVS.
My inlaws live in the next state. They have 3 CVS's within 1/2 hour from their house. When we go and visit, I am always filling rain checks there!

SAME EXACT SCENARIO HERE:

I hardly ever go for the CVS deals anymore, unless I can get there 1st thing Sunday morning, but many times, I will check product availability on Saturday night for the next weeks sales and they dont have it then either, so my store doesnt even have any items to begin with! (I think maybe employees buy them all)

Have you asked your store if they take expired ECBs? One of mine takes them after a week or so, and my favorite store will take them up to several months after exp date. Its worth a try if you haven't asked

We had the same problem at our store. One time, I specifically asked the sales clerk about something and she just looked at me like "what?" Well, a few days later my son had to use the restroom which is back in the storage room and guess what I saw back there??? Cases of the item I was looking for that they hadn't bothered to get out onto the sales floor for the sale!! I was so aggravated! I'm pretty sure they had been there for a while b/c of how they were set up, etc. Lately, we haven't had that problem so I don't know if they are getting smarter or if someone else complained or what!

I wish we could do that at my store. Whenever I ask for a raincheck w/ something w/ ECB they get all panicked and say they don't know how to do that. They could give me the raincheck for the sale price and then when I redeem it I could contact customer service and "maybe" get my ECBs.....tried it once, nightmare!!! Gave up on that one!!

I had problems when I asked for rainchecks so I emailed CVS. Here is the reply I received.
> Thank you for contacting CVS/pharmacy about our raincheck policy. Stores
> are allowed to write rainchecks for Extra Bucks sale items. We prefer to
> offer a substitute item, so that our customers do not leave empty
> handed. However, in the example you provided, the raincheck would be

Went to the store & they refused to give me rainchecks even after showing them the email. Called CVS & she said that all CVS stores are to give rainchecks on everything except seasonal items. She is contacting the DM who is to take care of the problem at this store.
I did go to another CVS & asked for a raincheck & the cashier got confused. Showed her my email & told her about the call & she wrote a raincheck. Made a copy of my email too. This is the third CVS store I asked for a raincheck & at each one they got confused.
Shows what kind of training they are giving their cashiers. From what I have seen they just teach basics on the register & that is it.

Okay, I am just discovering this ECB thing. I see some stuff in the weekly ad, but I don't recall seeing offers like the SoftSoap offer from April. Is there a monthly book with the ECB offers, sort of like the monthly rebate books at Walgreens? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
