K-Mart is having a Super Double Manufacturer's Coupon 5-Day Sale, Wednesday, October 1 --- Sunday, October 5, 2008. Doubling coupons up to & including $2 value. This is from a flyer that was with my Sunday paper from Lansing, MI. It states: Available at participating Kmart and Super Kmart locations. I would suggest calling your store and asking if they are participating before going. There is a limit of 75 coupons per day. Internet coupons are not valid.

I called the St. Johns store (20 miles from Lansing) and spoke with the store manager. who told me they were not participating in this deal. She said even the Lansing store was not participating although this ad ran in the Lansing State Journal. It was meant for stores in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area. She said they had lodged a complaint with the district manager. K-Mart needs to get their act together!

I just called my Kmart and they didn't know anything about it but I will check back tomorrow. Fostoria, OH

I have emailed corporate striat from the customer service button on the kmart.com site also have called CS phone number 1866kmart4u or 1800 forget which one but BOTH said that ALL STORES ARE REQUIRED TO HONOR THIS PROMOTION and if your manager tells you no call CS and they will personally call the store and tell them how to honor the deal (giving directions on how to double up to and including 2.00 coupons :O) Happy shopping

I had an awesome trip at Kmart today. I used 63 coupons. Original cost was just over $300 and my final oop was $69. That is really good for me.

All I can say is watch out. I was in a hurry and had only 10 minutes to make a hair appt., but knew that I had not spent $50. I paid and later checked my receipt against my purchases. I knew what coupons I had used. I went back to k-mart. They found my coupons (I had checked out @ the jewelry counter) and took an hour to figure out that they owed me $19.89. 10 or so coupons didn't scan. While I was at the counter a gentleman came up b/c his coupon didn't double. I would not use too many coupons at once or I would have them scan after each item is rung up.

That is good advice. I had enough time to watch everything. And the cashier was very excited to see how much savings I had. He turned part of the terminal around so I could watch everything. The last 2 q's did not want to double and he did it manually. The only coupon that did not double was my $5 coupon that was not supposed to.
I do plan on going back this week, with your advice I will pay very close attention to the moniter. Kmart is too far away to have to go back for a refund.

Just be careful of coupons off multiple items.... ie) $1/2, $1/3 because their register only doubles to the cost of the first item. The Juicey Juice boxes that are on sale for $2 are fine using the $1/2 because it would double to $2, but the $1 Easy Macs are not using the $1/2 because they wouldnt double. YOu have to watch those coupons and point them out.

I have already been twice, and did it pay off! I keep back issues of coupon inserts incase this kind of thing opens up. Last night I plowed through those and that did enhance my options. There are so many $2 ones, like Pert, Resovle Carpet cleaner, Endust, and even $1.50 like Suave etc. The $2 Gillette shampoo coupon makes it free! Even the candy ones work combining with their current sales. I am a proof-reader, though, and did find a $2 bottle deposit fee on my receipt. There is no such thing in Colorado, so I was really floored. I called KMArt, and they said they would happily refund it.(they can't explain it either).
BTW, they were very pleasant and accomodating. I hauled off with alot of free stuff, and they didn't take it out on me. Fun! Will be stocking our foodpantry in town! Gosh, I would like to go back one more time so we'll see!

I went again today and spent even less. I found some more coupons and there is some more that I want to get so I will go back tomorrow too.

I just looked in our flyer and it doesn't say anything about double coupons. Our Kmart like to argue over regular coupons, I can't imagine they would double them!

I had a great trip to K Mart but it sure did take a long time for the cashier to ring me up. Saved $143 in coupons! :0)

From what the original poster said about the flyer in the Lansing paper, I thought I was getting doubles, but never saw the flyer myself. However, when I asked about it at the only Lansing KMart, they said they weren't doubling. There is another KMart in a town north of Lansing, a bit too far away for me to make a special trip, so maybe that's the location the flyer was for. But it sounds like the stores need to get in sync with what corporate wants from them.

I received a flyer in the mail yesterday in a junk paper insert. It was just one page.

I went to a regular Kmart yesterday and asked about doubling. The woman at the front desk said that they were not participating...but if you asked at the desk, they would...so check with yours if you're not sure. Ends Sunday.

Mine is a regular K Mart

I called my kmart again today and they said they weren't participating so I called Corporate. They said it was for all Kmarts. I called my kmart again and they said they would only do it if customers asked when they came in the store so off I went. It took me about an hour and I made an absolute killing. I even had a $4.00 coupon for a Fusion razor which was $7.99 and they doubled the coupon making the razor free. I got lots of sure deodorant for .29 each and lots of Dove hairspray for about .59 per spray can. I can't wait to see what coupons come out in Sunday's paper and try to go over again.

Anyone in NJ have any luck with this?

I haven't been to KMart in such a long time, and I didn't realize how expensive they've become on most of their items. I went this morning and only bought 12 items. The items that I bought that were cheap or free after coupons were:

Dove shampoo - free (using a $2 coupon)
Visine AC 0.5 oz - free (using a $2 coupon)

Glade scented oil candle holder - free (actually got a little overage using a $2 coupon)
Powerade 32 oz. - free (got a little overage using a $0.75 coupon)

I don't know if there are still any MC members who live in the Des Moines, IA area, but if there are just so you know the Kmart on Hickman isn't participating, but the one on University in Clive is. I'm not sure about the Hubbell store.

what are the chances that anyone on here would know about West Babylon NY's Kmart??

This is the response I got this morning. It really upset me that to take part a customer must purchase a newspaper. I don't know how else they expect you to get a "flyer".

I just went back to kmart because I rounded up more coupons. Once again I made a killing over there. And once again they were in no way trained or prepared to do this double coupon promotion. Oh well, I was patient with them and they did it all manually.
