I would suggest that you do not delay in placing the order. I had 11 items in my cart and when I went to check-out I had 6. My recommendation is that since you can pick-up at store for free you should go through a category and when you are done, place that order and then search another category, to make sure you get the items you've put in your basket before someone else orders the same thing and checks out before you.

when delivering to store, can shoes be returned if they don't fit?

I would think you could return them, but you would probably have to initiate the return online.
