Free Santana CD!

Call GEICO (1-800-222-0564) and request a quote for car insurance, and they'll send you Santana's newest CD.

Saw this on A&E tonight, during a Santana concert. I called.

I'd try again. This is true. I posted this "lifted from another site's board" deal here on the 19th, and the Geico operators know about it. When I called, I was even asked if I saw the offer on the Santana concert on A & E. Perhaps you just got an uninformed operator or need to say that you saw the concert on Oct. 19th. As I reported earlier, I talked with Johnny, The Rude One, and never completed my call. HTH someone.

BTW, I LOVE the Geico gecko! He's adorable--sooooo cute!!

I called yesterday evening and the operator did have to punch in a few things on her computer, but found the offer no problem. The only problem I had was that I did wind up having to call another number. The number that was given gave me an agent for the east coast. I'm in Arkansas and she was unable to quote me. She was VERY nice and tried to transfer me to an Arkansas agent, but wound up connecting me with the guy in the cubicle right next to her. (she had stayed on the line with me to make sure I got through okay). That was pretty darn funny! LOL She wound up giving me another 800 number to get someone in my area. Called that number and that agent also was able to find the offer. She quoted me a ridiculously high figure though. $731 every 6 months! ROFL!!! Told her I thought I'd keep my current $309/6 months thankyouverymuch. She said they would get the CD right out to me. Thanks OP!

Lisa :-)

My friend in GA called and they told her she had to have a special code to get the CD.

I called back for her and complained saying the offer was on the tv not in writing. They had to transfer me twice but they found someone who knew about it and they said there was no special code if you saw it on tv - and of course they are now sending my friend her cd.

By the way - her insurance quote was higher than she is currently paying for the same thing. Bummer.

Just last week I called and had auto insurance quoted with 4 other insurance companies (Geico was not one of them) and every one of them asked for my SS number and my husband's SS number. So I wasn't at all surprised when Geico asked for it. Actually the others also wanted our driver license numbers....Geico was the only one that did not ask for this info.

I have insurance with Nationwide, and they just sent out a notice that rates are now based on your credit rating - somehow they have statistically linked bad drivers with people who have bad credit??!???!

I did not complain though, because my rate dropped....

Strange but true

Yep..this is true. I don't think that's all they check though because we've always had excellent credit and we still got a quote for $730.xx. LOL But she did say that since my DH has a speeding ticket on his record that would make a HUGE difference in our rates with them.

Geico had a similar offer (also on A&E) for a David Bowie CD over the summer. I got a quote and 6 weeks later received his new CD in the mail.

Unhappy

I got an automated system, stating that in the state of Michigan they will have to mail me a quote card and I have to fill it out and mail it in. No way to speak to a live person, just totally automated. Hope I get it, but I won't hold my breath. Thanks anyway OP.
