Time is wrong on the board

I have my time zone set for EST, however posts on the board are showing as say "10:32AM" when it is actually "9:32AM". I have it set to detect DST, so it can't be that. I had to do a double take on my computer clock....

test post for time stamp

Before log in:
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:23 AM.

After log in:
All times are GMT -4. The time now is 09:23 AM.

Hmm....I hadn't noticed that. That is odd. Still investigating.........

My settings say EST as well and after I logged in, it moved my time up an hour when it was correct the first time. I'll forward to our technical staff.

Ok that message I just posted says 09:23AM. It is actually 08:23AM here. I double checked my settings and they are correct. EST with DST enabled. Ugh!

OK ty. I have no idea how long it has been that way but I just noticed it yesterday. It couldn't have been too long though...

This is what I have so far from tech support:

Quote:
In my control panel, under Edit Options, there is a section on the timezone and DST correction options. I turned off DST correction for my account and the time is back to normal. I'm researching why all of a sudden the DST is messed up (we haven't done anything here). Unfortunately, I can't turn off DST for everyone...VBulletin makes it so that it is a user by user option. I'll let you know when I find out more...
I tried it and it did work for me. I'll let you know more when I hear....

Ok this is strange. The time was back to normal until the DST came back. Now that the clocks are set ahead again it's off. It says it is 8:48 right now but it's actually 9:48...grrr!!!

After Daylight Savings hit, I had to go and turn back on the DST in the options in my User CP. That fixed the issue for me. I'm hoping after I'm done with this current project, that I will be able to upgrade the boards, and maybe this issue will be fixed once and for all.
