Imported Avatars?

I read the sticky on changing avatars, but I still can't figure out how to import an avatar? I would like to put up an Ohio State avatar, how can I do this?

Thanks to Annie, we've gotten this option enabled and you can choose your own avatars! All you need to do is go into your member control panel -- the link at the top that says "User CP" and then click the link to change your avatar. You can upload an image from your computer or use a URL to pull one over the web.

Not to sound like a complete idiot.......but

I have going to the User CP, I see the link for edit avatar, I click on it, and I don't see the option to upload your own.......what am I doing wrong?

When you clicked on edit avatar did you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page? You should see this

If you have a custom avatar and want to keep it as it is, leave the fields below as they are.

Use Custom Avatar

You may upload a new custom image using the controls below.

Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website

Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 50 by 50 pixels or 4.9 KB (whichever is smaller).

I am not seeing this........all I see are the box to click for no avatar, and the predefined avatars.....

Fixed. We made the change for regular members but there is a different group for our premium members. It's now changed there and you should be good to go. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm still having problems with trying to get a custom avatar. Under Edit Avatar, it still doesn't say anything about a using a custom avatar. I'm apparently pretty dense this morning because I've been looking for over 30 minutes and still can't find it.
