Guest Book

Can someone tell me what the Guestbook is for? Why is it used?

It is new to me.

Also, can someone leave anonymous messages? What if I received a message from "anonymous" and I don't understand what the message is? How do I contact the person?

I don't think the Guest book has "purpose" as such...most people leave comments about your page, what they like, etc.

Yes, if you are not signed in you can leave an anonymous post in the guest book. You can't find out who anonymous is, but if you don't like their comment you can choose to not show it -

Go to your homepage
click on Customize your homepage
click on edit in the guestbook bar
uncheck the post you don't like
then click on submit choices and poof their comment is gone.

So there is no way of contacting the person to find out what the post meant?

They just simply left "michelle28". That was all. LOL I did a search for this person, but could not find. Maybe they have just not ever made any posts, for all I know.

Dang, I wish I could figure out what it meant.. LOL

Thanks for your help!

I received a message a few days ago, but when I clicked on the link I didn't see anything. I tried just now following your directions but it says there are no entries in your guest book. I don't even see a guest book on my page. Is the person who posted something able to delete their own message?

Same thing happened to me. I had a note that someone had signed my guestbook. I tried to figure out where it was and finally gave up. Then the other day someone posted directions and I finally found it and it said I had no messages. So, who knows what the deal is...

I'll ask our IT team to look into it and get back with y'all on it.

3/13 and I have a message that someone signed my book but nothing. Could it be showing the repies that I made yesterday? That was the only difference that I saw and I don't need that notice. This is just as bad a spam.
