Permalink?

Well, I could have been being very unobservant lately, but I just noticedthe "permalink" in parentheses on this board and am wondering what it is, and how long have I been missing it. Just curious....

I must be unobservant as I did not and still do not see "permalink" anywhere. Maybe I just need some coffee.

A permalink is a URL that points to a specific blog or forum entry after it has passed from the front page to the archives. Because a permalink remains unchanged indefinitely, it is less susceptible to link rot. Most modern weblogging and content-syndication software systems support such links -- wikipedia

On my screens, it is listed on the top highlightedbar next to the post number, between the post number and the symbol for reputation. Thanks for the info though, just wondering how I have missed it being there--or if it is just something new....

I think it is something new. I do not recall seeing it and I do, usually, pay attention to the post counts in a thread.
