Angry I have to sign in each visit now?????

Just started this month - instead of staying logged in - I have to sign in again each visit. and on top of that i get a "wrong password or user name" after I sign in, so i try to log in 3 more times before I notice it says "welcome auntv" at the top of the page.

Hi. Have you done anything to your computer or browser in the past month like upgrades? Which browser are you using?

Which browser are you using, and which version of the browser?

I have done absolutely nothing to my browser - am using highest level IE 7 - it will not let me upgrade to ie8 as it says it will not "yet" work with my 64 bit stupid Vista.

is there a place now at MC to mark "stay logged in"? I have only done the recommended most important updates from microsoft. this is the only site that I have problems with. I cannot find where cookies are stored in this stupid Vista pkg. Could MC now be using a tracking cookie that my Norton antivirus disposes of?

update - I just ran my security scan and it showed 2 mycoupons cookies to dispose of - so that is what is doing it Why does Norton think MC cookies are dangerous? AND why do I keep getting the invalid member name/password message when I log in even though it logs me in?

hmmm...MyCoupons uses 2 cookies to stay logged in. If your anti-spyware software is removing them, or if your browser security settings do not allow permanent cookies, then you will have to log in each time you visit the site. As for why Norton thinks MC cookies are dangerous, I do not know. But I do know that you can tell Norton to ignore the MC cookies, just don't ask me how since I no longer use Norton.

As for the invalid member name/password message, how exactly are you logging in (which link are you clicking, etc)? I'll look into it.

I am using the login link at the top of the page - is there another way to log in?

I still think it is strange that norton leaves all my other sites cookies alone, it is just mc that has the problem now.

I cannot figure out how to add mc to my safe cookie list. Stupid Norton just gave me the option to delete all the "bad" cookies or do not delete any of them. and now after the last Norton update it auto deletes all "tracking" cookies when it scans - so I have now no choice and do not even know when it does it

now my post on cooking board do not show - someone else posted same time approx and they show
does anyone see this: Stuffed crust fruit pies
