Anyone else getting signed up for trials/magazines/etc?

Ugh. I've been doing rewards programs for many, many years and every once in a while I would find that I got signed up for something I didn't ask for, but it is happening more and more often now. I am VERY careful about all of the yes/no check boxes and read everything thoroughly before I complete any offer. However, within the past month, I have received in the mail and had to cancel a Cosmetique trial offer, Columbia house DVD club, Taste of home magazine, Prevention magazine, and Better Homes and Garden magazine. I also just received a phone call from a Dish network that claims I requested to be contacted for more information, which I did not. At first, I thought that all of these must have come off of one mailing list that got a hold of my info, but the email addys that are linked to them are all different so they all stemmed from different signups. I really don't do trials anymore, just freebie offers. I am beginning to worry about who else is getting all of my info too.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Same here.
I'm always careful to make sure any preselected yes in a survey is changed to no, but last week I got hit with everything.Got a bunch of Dr. Suess books ,Cat in the Hat,Green Eggs and Spam books with a bill for a book subscription.Am also now subscribed to MORE magazine although I never signed up for that, and also got the Cosmetique package and a bill for that. This all happened last week.
I don't even use makeup.I can't imagine using what they sent me for anything but Halloween with the horrible colors that were in there.

i also received the Cosmetique package & dr, suess books. sent everything back. glad there are others having the same problems, but it's unfortunate that it's happening at all. Remember, all items can be sent back to sender for no charge as long as the box is not open. a letter or statement doesn't count & can be reclosed & attached to cancel.

Well, I'm sorry to hear they got you guys too, but I'm kind of glad I'm not alone, LOL!

I guess I should be on the look out for Dr. Seuss too. I haven't received that one yet.

Well I received the More Magazine, Prevention and Taste of Home magazines also. The only program I'm doing at the moment is "thissiteisforreal.com. I even delete my information before hitting the skip button and don't ever sign up for the offers. Wonder what else I'm be getting now. Are any of you doing this site also?

I'm doing TSIFR, but I use a different form of my name there so these definitely didn't come from there. Of course, it could be from an offer that TSIFR has on their site but I may have done the same offer on a different site. One of the sign ups (I can't remember which one) I did trace back to a brandarama offer by the email addy I used. It may have been the cosmetique trial. A long time ago I had a problem with a brandarama offer that signed me up for a dvd club and I stayed away from brandarama for a while because of that. They also ALWAYS try to sign me up for mypoints and inbox dollars. I definitely won't be doing any brandarama offers again.

However, I don't know if those are the only culprits or not.

When I get that stuff I simply write refused on the envelope and the box if there is one and pop it back into the mailbox. Direct TV sends me at least 2 letters a week and it's driving me bonkers LOL

I have been getting a lot of new credit card offers and what I do is put everything into the postage paid envelope that is included and write "remove me from your list" on the application. Maybe this will add money to the USPS and we won't have as many postal increases!!

sacchua is on a distinguished road
I got the Dr. Seuss books a few days ago. sent it back unopened. was wondering where i got it from coz for the past few weeks i have not been doing any offers, even the freebie ones. i am just doing clicks.
I am not a member of thissiteisforreal.com as was mentioned by above posters. the ones that i am doing : rewardtv, quickrewards, creationsrewards, mypoints, memolink, sunshinerewards. i wonder which one is the cause. hope i don't get the other subscriptions.
