Ornament Exchange

I have not seen a post on this and since I have participated in it and not organized this, I felt it was my turn.
I will "host' the 2009 ornament exchange this year. Here are a few rules:

1. To sign up send it to thaler5@hotmail.com, put in subject ornament exchange, or respond to this post.
2. I will limit this to 20 people. If we get more than that I will start a second one.
3. You will need to make 1 ornament for each person in the exchange. (If 18 people are in this, you will need to send me 18 ornaments ( I know you do not need to count yourself, but this will give me an extra one in case one of yours gets broke)
4. Ornaments must be from your own little hands and not a boughten ornament, that was made in a factory.
5. You will need to send money for return postage but I will let you all know how much to send for postage, once I check the price of those boxes at the post office.
6. Sign up will end on Oct. 10th.
7. Ornaments to be mailed to me by Nov. 15th, to be sent to you shortly after all are received so that you will have time to hang them on your trees.
8. If you sign up and are unable to participate please notify me so that I can notify the others in this. We all know things come up at the last minute, so no problem just be respectful of the others that opt to do this so they can all be notified that the numbers changed.
9. Put your name/state on a piece of paper with the ornament so we now where they came from.
10. More importantly, let us have some fun!!!!
11..Those of you that have done this before, did I forget anything?

We have 8 people, so will use the small box.
I will need $5.00 in postage and please send 8 ornaments to me. You will get your own ornament back, so when you receive the box you will have a total of 8 in your box. Since we extended the deadline, I will also extend the deadline to Nov. 20th to have sent to me. I will get them sent as soon as I recieve all ornaments. If something comes up and you can not do this please let us know, so as not to delay the fun for the rest of us.
I will send an email with my address to each of you. If you don't receive this let me know.
Barb

I was totally in last year-I did the paper bag Santas-they were very cute. My ornaments this year will be very pretty, if I am allowed to join the group.

Glue guns and me just don't get along. I remember the last time I used on (was making slippers out of kotex for a gag gift) and somehow got it on my fingers and blistered them. Trying to hide my fingers as they opened these was a whole different story!

Glad you are in, the more the merrier!

ornament exchange????

I have been working on mine-what is the next step? What is the final count, where do we mail them to, and how much do we need to send for shipping. I have been left out of the loop a bit.

Don't worry about the delay. I only have the 2 above. Figured I would not get everyones until about Thanksgiving. As soon as I get them they will be mailed the next day. (I am not able to pick up mail until after I get home, so will do right after work on the day of the last arrival)
To clarify for others: Use just the P.O. box or whold address if you mail threw the post office. If you use UPS or Fed Ex, you will need the street address.
