| Destin, Florida Info?? We're wanting to go in August. Need help w/lodging... Never been and would like ur suggestions. Hate to book a place on the net and be disappointed once we get there. Thanks for ur help.

We actually stayed in Fort Walton. It was nice and pretty quiet. I would check out Reviews of vacations, hotels, resorts, vacation and travel packages - TripAdvisor and see the hotel ratings. Travelocity ratings are pretty good too. I would compare the two sites

It all depends on what you wanna do when you get there. My family just loves the beach, so we spend the extra to stay Gulf Front!! We do eat out a few times, but for the most part I cook in the condo. I've been to the Destin/ Ft Walton area many times. We prefer to stay in Ft Walton, it's a lot less folks. I'd be happy to help you any way I can.  |

We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in Fort Walton Beach which is the next town over from Destin.
