Which place would be better to vacation at? DH and I want to take an adults only vacation next year but don't know which would be better. Any suggestions? Also when is the best time to go? We would have to go sometime between May 24- Aug 12.

We were in Cozumel last April as part of a cruise. It was hot, in the 90's. I was not impressed with the city. You could take a bus to Cancun from Cozumel. The good thing is you can see the Mayan pyramids from these cities.

I've been through Cozumel on a cruise. The water is beautiful. I agree with the prior poster about being unimpressed. My husband and I went to Cancun for our 20th anniversary a few years ago, befor the hurricane. We loved it. We stayed with the Palace resorts....stay at 1 play at all. We stayed in The Cancun Palace resort and loved it. We layed on the beach day in and day out. We did one excursion, which was snorkeling. Loved it. They have beach service which was very nice. Whichever, you choose, I would take at least $100.00 in $1.00 bills. You will need this for tips. Those folks work so hard and in hot conditions. If you need any help, let me know.
