| where to go?
My parent's 50th wedding anniversary is November 30th. They don't want a party, instead they want the family to go on a vacation together. We are in NJ and all of us (10) are adults and 1 10 year old. We are thinking of something over Thanksgiving break or around Xmas cause the 3 students will be on break.

Do you want to drive or fly? If you drive you wouldn't be able to go too far from home. If you fly, you could go almost anywhere! How about a cruise? Do you want to swim? Ski? Hike? Make up a questionair and have everyone fill it out so that you can see what interests everyone and go from there!

I would check out ..VRBOŽ is Vacation Rentals by OwnerŽ Vacation Homes Rentals by Owner for a condo or house that you can rent together. My personal favorite is Sanibel or Captiva Island in Florida. You can look at the price of airline tickets at AirTran Airways - Home Page I think there is something for everyone there. If you don't want to travel so far, I am all for the Maine coast, but be prepared for some cold weather.

A cruise. There's something for everyone to do. Opportunities to experience something new together via on land excursions and you can all bond over dinner everynight without worrying how to split the check. You may even be able to avoid airfare in you find a ship leaving of the NJ/NYC area

I agree with the other posters. I have 2 sons living in different states. It was hard all getting together in one place at the same time. Twice we rented a house near Disney World and visited that way. We all have been on cruises since then. Next we want to go on a cruise together. In March of 2007, my middle son got married so we all visited then.

| Anniversary Trip Ideas
If people don't want to fly, I would suggest the Poconos. If they are willing to fly, I would suggest Las Vegas. |
