My sons will be going in the summer. Where to stay? Is it worth it to stay on site. It seems expensive. Any discounts on entering the park??

Free 2008 Family Getaway Guide from Cedar Point . It is a pretty good guide to cover the amusement park with trip tips, a park map, prices, operating schedule, info. for their hotels and camping, resort packages, etc.
There are two pages of coupons in the back of the book. There are a few coupons for Cedar Point for: admission (regular Funday, Starlight, Halloweekends) save $2 on a ride photo, food coupons, game coupons, miniature golf, their hotels, go-karts, etc.

There are also coupons for Soak City, Castaway Bay, Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom (only a waterpark now), etc.

"Get your friends in on the fun and savings! If they call 1-800 BEST FUN between April 1 and September 1, 2008, they'll also receive a copy of this Family Getaway Guide."

We bought our tickets and Mejer Grocery Store. The prices there were cheaper than at Cedar Point.

Check AAA too. I have also seen them on E bay.
Unfortunatly that is a huge tourist area and is kind of pricey...

I would try for a hotel in Norwalk or Port Clinton. Norwalk is about 15 minutes away (without traffic) and P.C. is about 20-25 (without traffic). It's worth the shot to check them out first. Hotels in Sandusky/Milan are expensive this time of year. I live around Sandusky. You can get discounts at AAA or Meijers. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
