Holiday World, Indiana?

What can anyone tell me about Holiday World. Can we do it in one day, or does it require two, for both the amusement park and the water park. Any info on cheap, clean accommodations and good cheap eats would be appreciated.

We go every summer as we live close by. Yes, you can do both parks in 1 day. That is what we have always done. You can spend two days there if you choose. You can upgrade your ticket before you leave on day 1 to add a 2nd day. I'm not sure about accommodations. The website has links to the local places to stay. Check it out at Welcome to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana!. It is really one of the best theme parks. It is really clean and the free drinks are great. The food prices aren't bad at all. I think we ate 2 meals and some snacks for $50 (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 tween).

Have a great time!

Forgot to add......when you get there, go immediately to get a locker in Splashin' Safari and stash away your swim stuff. Then you don't have to carry it with you everywhere. The water park usually opens 1 hour after the theme park.

Thanks Jill. We're in Cincinnati, about 3 hours away. I'm a teacher and my daughter and I don't go back this year until September 2, so we're thinking late August might be good. Your info was very helpful.

Its really kind of in the middle of nowhere! We have always stayed in Dale when we go. If you go when if first opens, you can ride most of the big rides with no line and then the water park opens an hour after the park opens and you can then spend the rest of the day in the water park!

Food is very reasonable. All the soft drinks are free, so thats another budget saver.

Its a small well laid out park and its easy to get around in one day. You will have a great time. We are going again over Labor Day this year.
