San Francisco Airfare

Any good deals on airfare from SFO - San Francisco to ORD - Ohare for Thanksgiving? All I can find is airfare running around $500. Ouch!

I see prices ranging from $228 to $362 RT. Go to Cheap Flights, Airline Tickets, Cheap Airfare & Discount Travel Deals - Kayak.com and check it out. They scan a bunch of fares at one time.

airfares

I have not found any airfares for those prices during the Thanksgiving weekend. I'm in need of 11/27-11/30.

DH flies there all the time for work. He always takes Southwest. You might check them.

Southwest has a good one way fare, $185, but the cheap flights home are sold out. Could you change your date by a day? Perhaps check some of the other airports that are not too far away to see if you can find a deal. You could also try buying the one way fare on Southwest and searching for a one way fare on other airlines for the trip back.

Check flying San Jose instead. We flew into there for 1/3 of the price that it cost to fly into San Francisco!

We have flown into both San Jose and Oakland to save $$$$. Thanksgiving might be tough though. Most people can't adjust their dates. One thing we have done is fly there( wherever we are going) on T-day itself. Other times, we have flown home on the Saturday after...instead of Sunday.
