Hubby wants to buy a GPS navigation system for our car .

Any recommendations- Garmin or TomTom or Magellan?

Our friend has the Garmin Nuvi 260W. It is nice! It has a larger screen and tells you the street names to turn on, which are two huge bonuses!! I have posted it below-I think it works. I got lucky as Bestbuy.com had it on sale at 199 before Christmas with free shipping. They do still have the free $10 gift card. You have to click on the "How do I get it?" link, then add it to your cart. They have it for 179 for a refurbished one.

One thing that I would recommend when you are looking at them, check to see if they come with the cord that goes from the GPS to the computer to get your updates and register it. To register this one, you have to have it. Unfortunately it does not come with it and they don't tell you when you start the registration until you are in to it. Had to order it from Garmin.com. Also, depending on where you are going, you might not be able to enter it. I work for Corrections and had to go to another facility for training. The one I was going to was not "enterable". Heck, mine isn't either! So that is kind of a pain in the butt. But I do like this one so far!!! Our friend really loves his!
