Question Cheap last minute vegas show tickets at box office?

Has anyone ever tried getting a last minute ticket right at the hotel/casino ticket booth or box office for a show? And if so, what did you see and about how much is it discounted? I know we can go to TixTonight booth and we have done that before but might try the box office last minute. We are interested in any Cirque show and possibly the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur and Fab4 at Planet Hollywood. I assume its possible to get a last minute ticket for just one person, but how about 2 people?

We were at the Luxor in April. Very nice hotel, great service, nice buffet, nice pool and there is a little deli on the main casino floor not far from the sports book that has reasonably priced tasty sandwiches as an alternative to the food court upstairs. I did find the casino itself confusing as far as its configuration. We were with a group of 12 and we all felt that the casino slots were tight and could never find our way around the place, signage wasn't good at all..

Rent a car to go to Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam...the tours hold you hostage for too long.

Renting a car in Las Vegas is super easy. The rental car companys are all at the same place, just hop on the rental car bus at the airport that takes you there in about 5 minutes. I always look for a rental car code or bid on Priceline and do pretty well. A cab from the airport to your hotel is about $15-20 each way and if you take a cab up and down the strip a few times it starts to add up. If you want to go off the strip to see anything, like Hoover Dam or to go downtown, just so much easier and cheaper to drive yourself there. We like to go to a few off-strip casinos so works out best for us and we always make a trip to a grocery store too.

As for the Luxor, they were pretty generous with the comps we got also. I do have a players card so got a nice rate to start with.
