Exclamation MYCOKEREWARDS - Forfeited 81 points, 'due to inactivity'

.

+

Don’t it make my brown eyes … more brown!

Account balance: 0

Recent event: -81, due to inactivity

+

Q) Has anyone successfully regained their lost points?

+

We all lead busy lives (supposedly drinking Coca-Cola products) … there should not be an inactivity rule.

Regaining Coke Points

Yes this happened to me. I emailed them (I think it was through the Contact Us link in the site) and asked what happened to my points. Said after 30 days (maybe 90 - my memory isn't great) of not posting any points you lose them but they put them back. At the time it seemed like it was a little less than I had but I wasn't sure what I had so I just let it go. Was greatful they put back with no real hassle. Only had to ask once too. Hope it works for you.

Yea, it is 90 days.

Here is the dirt.

"... 4. Any points remaining in an Enrollee’s Account which has remained inactive for a period of 90 days or more will be forfeited without compensation. Failure to either credit points to an Account or Redeem points from an Account constitutes inactivity for purposes of this condition. ..."

i've had this happen at least a couple times without even getting anything for my points! NOT FAIR! why should it matter if i add them all at once, or one every couple months or so just to keep my points? i think its lame.

I've always received an email stating my points will be lost if I don't use them or enter some codes.

This happened to a friend of mine she lost around 800 points. Their computer had been down for about 6 months. They got it fixed and when she logged in she had zero points. So She emailed them a really nice letter and told them that was going on and didn't think it was fair that she lost all her points. They reinstated them for her.

Try emailing them via the contact page.

Have a great day.

OMG...they credited back my 1300 points from several months ago. THANKS everyone for your help. I had given it up as a lost cause. I just emailed them yesterday and they credited the points back today! YIPPEE.

When I thought about how much time it took to decipher some of those codes and enter them, it made me sick for them to disappear so suddenly.

You would think that a corporation like Coca-Cola would have their act together when it comes to promotions ...

• They have that whole inside flap space to print the code.

• They choose to use letters and numbers that are near identical.

• They use a very poor quality code printer.

• They stick it to the consumer with 'expirable' points.

+

Imagine the amount of time they allocation in dealing with problems with customers' codes not working, etc.

Outrageous!

I've never contacted them before...but I've "lost" tons of points before because the codes were totally impossible to enter. After numerous attempts with every possible letter/number combination that I think they printed I get a rejection, so I've tossed so many in the trash and never considered calling or emailing since it would be only 10 or 20 points or so at the time....

But I'm so glad I was able to recoup all those "expired" points. If this happened to you, please contact them even if it has been a long time.

Thumbs up How to read the codes easier

Someone posted this tip a long time ago about how to make reading the codes easier.
Hold the cap up to a bright light from a lamp or flashlight with the light shining through from the backside. I have yet to find a cap that I can't read. I have used both methods and both work equally well. I will take a flashlight and just place the cap on the lens and read it that way.

Thanks for the tip genichols.

I can usually figure out the caps but it's the codes on the 12 packs that can be ridiculous. They are often times printed so light that you just can't make them out. I do use a bright light and a magnifying glass for the caps but even then some of them are so blurred that I have to toss them.

High five, somebody give me a high five ...

+[START OF EMAIL]

Thanks for contacting MyCokeRewards.com. We're glad you took the time to email us.

I checked your account and saw your points expired. We're glad to have you back and are happy to credit the points to reinstate your expired balance.

Based on the rules for My Coke Rewards, points will not expire as long as you continue entering codes within a 90 day period. We'll send you two reminder emails at one month and at one week before the points are wiped out, so make sure these emails are not going to your spam or junk mail. Thanks for letting us know, and for being a part of My Coke Rewards.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us again.

Sincerely,

+[END OF EMAIL]

The thing about sending out two reminder emails is that they get LOST with all the other emails (especially spam).

MyCokeRewards points should not expire, hey I earned them, end of story.
