Kelloggs fuel for savings - Heads up

HEADSUP I went to our Walmart in Rindge, NH and they had out coupons / rebate for the Kelloggs Fuel for savings on a display like a yelllow bus. So I take the flyer go and purchase the products to get the $10 rebate use some of the coupons come home to fill out the rebate and see the rebate has expired including the coupons. I did call Kelloggs and they said that promotion hasn't even started yet so if you see these flyer check the year to make sure they are valid.

I am confused.....the coupons/rebate were expired, yet the company said the promotion hadn't started? Which is it?

I am not the OP but if her Wal-Mart did what mine did, Wal-Mart used last year's school bus display and also put out the booklets that were from last year. Mine also had the expired booklets

This year's promotion has not started yet as far as I know. I am guessing that since it is August it should be out soon though
