Thumbs down Meijer wouldn't let me use 2 coupons on BOGO items.

The cashier and the CS person both said it was against store policy. I have always been able to use one coupon per product. Has anyone had a problem with this?

If it was BOGO free then I can see why they wouldn't accept a second coupon. You technically only paid for one item. If it was BOGO half off and they didn't take it, that would be lame.

I guess it just depends on the store you shop at. Here, most of the stores that run BOGOF ring each of the 2 items up as 1/2 off their regular price. That way if you only wanted to purchase 1, it would be 1/2 price. At these stores, I've never had trouble using 2 coupons, because you are actually paying for each item. There is however 1 store in town that rings the 1st item up at full price, and the 2nd item up as $0.00. They will only allow you to use 1 coupon because you are only paying for 1 item. It kind of stinks though, because if you only want 1 of the item, you have to pay full price

The supermarket I shop at rings up B1G1s at full price for each, then the price of one comes off when they scan your club card at the end of your order. They always let me use a coupon for each. I guess each store has its own policy.

Re: Meijer wouldn't let me use 2 coupons on BOGO items.

My local Meijer will not accept 2 coupons either on B1G1 items. This is why I prefer their 1/2 price sales to their B1G1 sales.

I only shop at Meijers very rarely because they will only double one like coupon. I did go this Sunday because I was going to be right near one.

I got several Buy 1 get 1 free items including the Gordons fish. They rang up full price and then the price of one came off. I used a coupon for each and they all went through, but I was buying a fair amount of non-coupon stuff too so the coupons weren't overwhelming. The cashier was very nice and even manually doubled a couple of coupons that the machine didn't double.

This was at the Defiance Ohio store.

No Super Doubles in Dayton.....

this week. What bothered me about the cashier not taking the coupons is that I know that she "could" and she said that the computer wouldn't "let her" and I thought... yeah, right, the other 4 (for different BOGO) items came off. Plus, the CS lady said that I was trying to commit coupon fraud!! LOL. She said that since I didn't "purchase" the item, I couldn't use a coupon for it. I said...I am walking out with un-purchased items...call security! I told her I was purchasing them for $0.00. Oh well, I just have to let it go! LOL

I haven't had a problem with my Meijer Store, however they used to take expired coupons, but change their policy on April 1st.

I have found that if you get to know a few of the checkers, they get a little more relaxed about the "rules".

Carry their coupon policy with you into the store. It clearly states in their policy you can use two coupons for BOGO - one for each item.
